Home life
Girls, I can't say it enough...I'm so happy I came home this summer. I've spent time with my family, met new friends, gotten to know old friends better, gotten to relax more than ever and hopefully will be of some good to. There is so many missionary opportunities out here, not just cuz there's tons of non members either, even just within the church, there are so many of my friends who have stopped coming to church. And it's hard to see what has become of some of them but I want them to see the joy and happiness that I have for belonging to the church, I want them to see that their lives could be better with the gospel being apart of it. It's a hard job to convert people to the gospel but I think it is even harder to get those who have fallen away to come back to the gospel. I'm going to try. Pray for my efforts and for those who I am trying to reach please. I love you all and miss you but I know what I'm here for and that it's not just coincidental. :-D Keep on trucking guys!!

Jamie you're awesome. This morning Lizzie (my sis) asked me if I remembered Emily O'Hara. She was a friend of mine before my mission and just a super cool girl. We actually had this ginormous crush on the same boy for quite some time- nothing ever happened with him for either of us- but that's beside the point. Today in the NYTimes there was an article about a divided family- Mormons and those who have fallen from the Church. Emily is marrying into their family (there she was featured in a pictures and Lizzie recognized her) and her fiance is active in the Church- so that's great- but his parents aren't. His mom was having a tough time not being able to go to their temple wedding- something that was bringing back memories of her own temple wedding- so she got on this Postmormon website to find comfort and support. In her case I'm not sure she ever was completely converted to the gospel (the article alluded to that being the case), but I find it so sad that their family is split like that! I'm hopeful that things will work out for them- and knowing Emily I'm sure she'll do whatever she can to help make the situation better- and undoubtedly things will get better.... And I think it's true- like you said- that it's really hard to bring those who have fallen back to the gospel. Hard- but totally possible. There's a reason you're home and doing what you're doing- meeting who you're meeting and I'll definitely keep you in my prayers. Take care!
That is an awesome story Becca!! Thanks for sharing. I love you tons and can't wait to hang out with you again in the fall. Seems like you're having a blast in Hawaii with your family. Love ya tons and tons and tons (that's a lot) :-)
